Jenae Berg

is a Los Angeles-based interior designer dedicated to creating beautiful spaces designed for living well. She aims to make every interior as functional as it is good-looking, whether that means leaning into bold colors and patterns or keeping it clean and simple. Understanding that the world of interior design can be a wasteful one, she strives to repurpose and celebrate the existing design of a client’s space and decor whenever possible.

Jenae launched her design career in San Francisco after receiving a BA in Interior Design in 2008. Here, she worked on a range of projects, from traditional high-end residences to modernizing historic Victorian homes before relocating back to Southern California, where she gained experience creating coastal casual and family-friendly interiors. She’s worked with every style, budget, and timeline over the years, bringing one common goal to every project: to leave her clients grinning from ear to ear and sighing with happiness.

A full-service operation, she has expertise in every phase of the design process, from the start of construction to the finishing touches on decor. Her experience enables her to serve as a knowledgeable liaison and advocate for her clients with the architects, contractors, and vendors on the job. In addition, she creates her own AutoCAD drawings, keeping design work in-house as much as possible to ensure projects stay on track and in line with her clients’ needs.

Originally from the South Bay, Jenae was born and raised by the beach. She founded Paper Boat Interiors in 2017 to bring her deep understanding of people and how they live, a strong ability to multitask, and her laidback Southern California sensibility to every home she enters. Her warm, welcoming presence combined with her rich experience puts her clients immediately at ease, knowing they – and their spaces – are in good hands.
